The Gala Dinner and Commissioner’s Charity Ball form part of the Insurance and Pensions Commission’s 20th Anniversary celebrations, a significant milestone that marks two decades of stewardship, growth, and commitment to safeguarding the interests of policyholders and pension scheme members in Zimbabwe.

This special evening serves not only as a celebration of institutional achievement, but also as a moment of reflection and recognition. It is an opportunity to honour the individuals and institutions whose contributions have shaped the development, resilience, and regulation of the insurance and pensions sector over the past twenty years.

At the heart of these celebrations lies the Commissioner’s Charity Ball, a deliberate expression of our belief that milestones should extend beyond commemoration and translate into meaningful, lasting impact. As we celebrate how far we have come, we are equally committed to investing in the future.

Proceeds from the Charity Ball will be directed towards the procurement of school textbooks aligned with the new education curriculum, specifically covering insurance concepts for both primary and secondary learners.

These resources will be distributed to rural schools across Zimbabwe, helping to bridge knowledge gaps and empower young learners with essential financial literacy from an early age.

Through this effort, we seek not only to celebrate 20 years of progress, but to plant the seeds for the next 20 years and beyond, where awareness, inclusion, and opportunity reach every corner of Zimbabwe.
